The Village of Delanson Water Dept. will flush the water mains.  It is recommended that you have bottled water available for drinking and cooking. We also advise you have several buckets of water available for flushing toilets and washing hands. We don't recommend doing laundry at this time since the water could be brown and stain your laundry.

We are sorry for any inconvenience it may cause you. Thank you for your patience.

Rail Road Crossing on Main Street in Delanson
Delanson, 12053

Every year, the CP Rail Holiday Trains travels through dozens of communities, raising food and cash donations for North American food banks.??

Think of them as brightly-decorated railcars full of Christmas cheer. A fund-raiser for food banks in Canada and the U.S., Holiday Trains -- one travels through Canada; the other in the U.S. -- have covered over 100,000 miles and raised close to $9.5 million and 3.3 million pounds of food since the program started in 1999.

The Holiday Trains will stop in Delanson, offering a free concert and seasonal festivities from a boxcar turned into a travelling stage on Friday, November 28, 2014.

The concert is free, but attendees are encouraged to make a donation to the food bank—either a non-perishable food item or a cash donation. All contributions will stay within their local communities.

Toys for Tots 2014 History and Needs

Underwritten by SEFCU, this video’s purpose is to raise awareness and inspire a call to action among local community sponsors and volunteers to partner with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots program in order to reach more disadvantaged families at Christmastime. The Toys For Tots program is a national program reaching more than 700 communities.

In December 2013, L&P Media boarded a Toys For Tots train at the Rensselaer Train Station and traveled north to Rouses Point, NY where the train made numerous gift giving stops along the way. L&P Media filmed campaign coordinators and marines as well as many disadvantaged children receiving toys and winter clothing during each stop along the railway.

This heartfelt video presentation describes what the Toys For Tots program is all about, its mission and goals, and the positive influence on the people it helps.

The Toys for Tots Train will be in Delanson on Saturday, December 6th at 4:00 PM.

Enjoy.
